They say all good things take time.

But— when you know you know.

While suitable to many aspects of life, both of these sayings can be directly applied to Emily and Brandon. These two met over a decade ago, set up on a blind date by mutual friends for their senior prom. However, their love story did not end with the dance (which, they did in fact, skip).

The first time they met, Brandon asked Emily the most important question: “Do you like to eat?” For anyone that knows these two, they know how crucial this question is.

Emily and Brandon have camped all over the Cascade Mountains, cooking everything from campfire quesadillas to burgers and tacos over their fire. This list doesn’t even include Emily’s personal favorite, their garlic butter grilled oysters on the coast. Their adventures have taught them the importance of support, how to rely on one another, and have allowed them to create lasting memories.

From the moment they met, Emily and Brandon have been inseparable. They knew what they had was special, and moved in together in 2017– soon followed by the adoption of their beloved first dog, Annie. Emily and Brandon have lived together since, eventually creating their home in Carnation when which they purchased in 2020. They have since grown their family, adopting their second puppy Willa, and their cats Wren and Nash— not to mention half a dozen chickens.

In 2024, after ten years of growth, love, and commitment, Brandon took Emily to Banff and asked her to be his wife.

It is with great joy and love that we ask you to join us on July 12, 2025 to celebrate this next important step with the people we love most.
